Our Morning & Afternoon Preschool Programs
Here at Hands On Art & Play Preschool, in SE Portland, we offer young children (ages 2.5 yrs – 6 yrs) a place to explore arts, crafts, science, language and music in an environment that is exciting, safe and fun.
Hands On offers morning preschool from 9:00am-12:30pm, Monday -Friday. Your child can attend 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 days week. Each day our class has between 12-24 children and between 2 and 4 teachers. Our visiting artist and musician program takes place on alternating Tuesdays and Wednesday during regular preschool hours. Our curriculum is based on seasonal themes and promotes a love of learning. Each day the children can play, create art, participate in circle time activities, sing songs, read books, play outside, dig in the dirt and have fun!
This year we are also offering afternoon preschool class. It will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30pm- 3:00pm. Children may attend 1 or 2 days and may be enrolled in both some morning classes and afternoon classes, as long as they do not occur on the same day. Our afternoon starts off with either dance or yoga, and then continues on so children can play, create art, participate in circle time activities, sing songs, read books, play outside, dig in the dirt and have fun!
Hands On helps children learn to use their words to get what they need. The children enjoy learning together and forming friendships. Our small class size allows all children to receive the attention they deserve. Our preschool program is designed so children can experience preschool without having to attend every day or a minimum number of days each week.Get a Registration Form Get a Summer Camp Form
